Year End Awards Banquet
At the end of each season the District puts on a Gala affair filled with good friends, rich food and jubulant friendships gathered together to cheer each other on for the years accomplishments and joke about one another’s poor luck. Accompanied with an abundance of raffle prizes the occasion brings opportunity for us to brush off the smell of competition and put on our Sunday best for an elegant night on the town.
Welcome again to NAMBA District 9. We are excited to have you join us as we embark on yet another year of Fun and Excitement in Radio Controlled Boating. If you decide to join our organization, in addition to fun for the whole family you can be sure we will provide you with 7 to 10 events a year throughout Northern California, Awards Banquet, and protection from liabilities should they arise while you’re having fun.
Spring and Summer Fun
Every year from March to October the Clubs of District 9 host the high point championship series which consist of 7 to 10 races that rotate between our Fremont, Monterey and Sacramento locations. Competitors race for top honors in each class accumulating points at each event in a chase for the High Point Championship. Our events also include Toys for Tots where we raise funds and gather toys for underprivileged youth.
There aren’t too many activities where Mom, Dad, Sister, Brother, Aunt, Uncle and even Grandma and Grandpa can participate and compete on a level playing field with almost no physical limitations. RC Boating is a fun experience for all and with camping and overnight facilities available it’s a nice way to get outdoors in a fun filled way to keep everyone entertained. Experience the fun.
So You’re Covered While Having Fun
To participate in District 9 as a boater you need to be a NAMBA member. NAMBA membership provides you with liability and property damage coverage in the event that your boat should be involved in an accident in which a spectator is injured or damage is done to someone else’s property.
